Molecular Prevention

The department of Preventive Oncology Molecular Testing Laboratory is a Centralised Facility for Human papilloma Virus DNA testing as a primary screening modality for cervical cancer screening. The department receives cervical cancer screening samples across the country for the HPV DNA testing. The department has the US-FDA approved fully automated platform, the global standard, Cobas 4800 (Roche Molecular Diagnostics) for the cervical cancer screening. The department is a referral centre for the National Health Mission based cervical cancer screening programs.
