Development of a Double Antibody Sandwich Elisa for detection of p16 in cervical smear lysates. Patent has been filed [Application number 475/CHE/2014, filed on 03-02-2014]. We are in the process of transfer of Technology to a Govt. of India subsidiary company. This kit will help enable population based cervical cancer screening in a cost-effective manner without the need for highly trained Pathologists or Technologists. It can be done at the point of care such as a Primary Health Centres.
Developed the country's first Dendritic cell vaccine program for treatment of cervical cancer and have now established a Cancer Immunotherapy Centre under funding from Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
Established and running the country's first Hereditary cancer detection and prevention program since 2002. Gene testing for identification of deleterious mutations has been done free of cost for all eligible patients, while the commercial companies charge around Rs.50,000.
Identified potential diagnostic blood based biomarkers for early diagnosis of gastric cancer, a killer disease. This is being validated in a large sample.

Have identified potential therapeutic targets for the treatment of cervical and breast cancer [e.g. UBE2C].
Have developed a novel treatment for Ewing's sarcoma, an aggressive bone tumour seen in children and adolescents.
Providing molecular diagnostic tests free of cost to needy patients.
